Valued match programmes
I did offload a lot of full seasons some time back but I have kept some much valued ones in my collection.

Just managed to get hold of the two programmes from the 1976 cup winners cup final - the Belgian version and our own Hammer version, as well as having all other finals that we have been in bar 1923.

Most cherished... my first match ever from 1980 vs Fulham.

Anyone got any that they will never part with?

The Lusitans one from last season is worth a few quid already, they were going for £80 on eBay not long ago.

I have a Castilla programme. Also, my uncle was one of the official attendance of 260 odd as he was a press photographer. I have some cracking photos in black and white measuring 10 x 8.

Bubbles, you still not got through that lot yet? that was a few years back. ;-)

Re: Valued match programmes
I've got the West Ham v Castilla CWC 'white' programme from 80/81 when it was played behind closed doors at Upton Park. My old man was working on the Thames Barrier at the time and managed to get hold of one.
Quite a unique occasion which makes it very special to me.

Re: Valued match programmes
May have told this before, but some time ago me and Tom were in the club shop before a game and the great Ray Stewart was in there signing stuff for fans, not sure what, but when I looked over, there was no one near him and he was sat with just some bloke, maybe his agent. I couldn't believe this, as he was one of my heros during his career at West Ham, so I got hold of Tom and we marched over to Ray and I asked if he would sign our programme. I now have a West Ham programme with Dean Ashton on the front cover with Ray Stewarts autograph!
Try and put a value on that Arthur Negas!!!!

Re: Valued match programmes
Although not a programme, I've got a small booklet of the official history of West Ham Utd published around 1947. No idea of the value but I would never sell it.

Re: Valued match programmes
Got a big collection. All cup Finals bar 1923 (have an old repro though) and and cup runs, entire homes for the 70s. Lots of 50s & 60s too.
Many old aways and 2 early 30s club Handbooks.

I did sell my most treasured and valuable programme though as I needed the cash. Got £1500 for my 1933 WHU v Everton FA Cup Semi.

Re: Valued match programmes
I had absolutely loads (about 10 season's full sets) but I gave them away to a friends lad who was a West Ham fan in a sea of Chelsea, Arsenal & Tottenham.

Not all of them though - I found (just) one when I was packing up my stuff to store when I left Europe in 2005.

The Arsenal Cup Final (& tickets & old newspapers, rosettes & other boy-fan shit). They must have got separated from the rest back in the mid 1980s and I never noticed I still had them for 20 years.

I used to collect home and aways from 57 until I gave up in the 90s. Pretty complete.

Quite a lot of pre-war. Earliest is 1903 Handbook.

Re: Valued match programmes
Just been sorting out my dads loft after he passed away in August. Found some proper gems in there.

Celtic friendly on a monday afternoon in 1949 (we won 5-2!)
64 Cup Final Programme
65 Final Programme & Ticket
66 World Cup brochure (sign by Charlton brothers and their mum and dad!)

Not West Ham but...
1935 Cup Final (Shff Wed v WBA) + ticket and songsheet
Ali v Cooper World Title programme and ticket
Ali v London World Title programme

All in all 100's of programmes for all London teams as he and his 3 brothers would go to all teh big games from 1930 onwards.

The value of some of them is staggering.

Somewhere we have the 1940 wartime cup final programme but I haven't come across it yet

Favourite is my first game which I found the other night still with the two tickets in as my Dad took me. League cup v QPR 40 years ago tomorrow (also Alan Devonshire's debut!)

I'll be selling virtually every programme we have except that one.

Makes me well up just typing it
